Homeless mothers-to-be pose for beautiful portraits



Maternity photos are more than just a beautiful picture, they’re an important reminder of a special time a mother has with her child before it is born. And it is a luxury not everyone has.

Photographer Keri Vaca, owner of Small Miracles Photography in San Francisco, California, volunteers her services by taking maternity photos for homeless mothers-to-be through the Homeless Prenatal Program.

Vaca originally met a representative of HPP, Martha Ryan, through her son’s school, and was inspired to help out in the best way she could with her skills and art. “[The moms at HPP] want the best for their unborn baby and worry about being the best mom they can be…I learn so much and am so blessed that I am able to connect with so many strong, amazing women,” Vaca told Mashable.
