An Australian visual artist has launched a Pozible campaign to attract the attention of diverse women and their supporters.
The Pozible fundraiser, started by Adelaide artist Amy Herrmann, asks for financial support for her art project titled: “Underneath we are …”
It hopes to portray women in a different light from the all-too-common depiction in media, advertising and most visual forms in society.
“Underneath, we are … young, fat, tall, we are trans, skinny, disabled, we are mothers, we are short, scarred and old,” the campaign reads. “We are the many labels that society has created for us. But what if I told you that underneath, underneath it all … We are women.” Read more…
