Martin O’Malley ended his run for the Democratic presidential nomination on Monday night, sources close to the former Maryland governor and Baltimore mayor confirmed to Mashable.
Earlier in the day, O’Malley was defiant, telling his supporters to “hold strong” and vowing that he would continue his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.
“We’re in this all the way,” O’Malley told Mashable after he was repeatedly asked by a reporter whether he would remain in the race
His campaign took out a $500,000 loan in December, according to Federal Election Commission filings, and some staffers in Iowa had been working without pay. Read more…
